Kampala, Uganda – The President of Somalia, Hassan Sheikh Mohamud, has arrived in the capital city of Uganda, where he is scheduled to meet with Ugandan President Yoweri Museveni. This working visit is part of ongoing efforts to enhance collaboration in combating the Al-Shabaab militant group.
During their discussions, the two leaders are expected to focus on strategies to accelerate the fight against Al-Shabaab, a significant regional threat. Additionally, they will explore ways to strengthen bilateral relations across various sectors, including security, trade, and development.
This visit comes shortly after President Hassan Sheikh’s return from a trip to Djibouti, where he engaged in discussions related to regional security and cooperation.
