Mogadishu (LM): The President of the Federal Republic of Somalia, His Excellency Hassan Sheikh Mohamud, extended his heartfelt congratulations and appreciation to the various units, commands, and ranks of the Somali National Army (SNA) on the occasion of its 65th anniversary of founding.
In his message, President Mohamud emphasized the remarkable achievements of the SNA in the fight against terrorism, highlighting the areas liberated and the sacrifices made by the soldiers in their commitment to defend the nation. He stated, “Our forces have sacrificed their lives to defend our country and protect the future of generations to come. Over the past period, they have achieved significant successes in the fight against terrorism, liberating many important areas and inflicting substantial defeats on anti-peace groups.”
The President also underscored the ongoing efforts of the Federal Government of Somalia to improve and equip the SNA, enhancing the lives of its personnel. He called upon the Somali people to continue their unwavering support for the army, reinforcing the importance of unity in the face of challenges.
