President Ali Abdullah Wins State Leader of The Year 2024

Mogadishu (LM) President Ali Abdullahi Hussein Gudlaawe, the leader of Hirshabelle State, has been recognized as “State Leader of the Year 2024” by Leadership Magazine Somalia. The prestigious recognition follows an online voting process participated in by the Somali community, reflecting widespread public support for his leadership and governance.
Recognition for Outstanding Leadership
President Gudlaawe was honored for his exceptional leadership in governing Hirshabelle State, his decisive actions against terrorist groups, and his commitment to building strong governance structures that promote stability and development.
In his tenure, he has focused on Strengthening security efforts to combat the Terrorist threats and ensure the safety of citizens, Ali Abdullahi Gudlawe, the current president of Somalia’s Hirshabelle State, has a long history of public service. A native of the region, he began his career early, serving as head of treasury and later as governor of the Middle Shabelle Region. He was instrumental in the formation of Hirshabelle State, serving as its first vice president and earning recognition for his work in local governance and development. Elected president in 2021, Gudlawe’s priorities include strengthening security, stimulating economic growth, and building peace. He emphasizes collaboration with local communities and international partners to combat challenges like poverty and instability.
