Minister Khadija Mohamed Presents Progress at National Human Rights Summit 2025

Mogadishu (LM) The Minister of the Ministry of Family Affairs, Development, and Human Rights of Somalia, Ambassador Khadija Mohamed Al-Makhzoumi announced significant advancements in human rights during her address at the inaugural National Human Rights Summit 2025 in Somalia. This landmark event, the first of its kind in the country, showcased Somalia’s commitment to addressing human rights issues.
In her speech, Minister Khadija stated, “In this National Summit, we are presenting how Somalia is making progress in human rights issues, and this is the first time it has been held in the country.” She emphasized the importance of this gathering as a platform for dialogue and collaboration among various stakeholders dedicated to promoting and protecting human rights.
The summit brought together government officials, civil society representatives, and international organizations to discuss key challenges and share best practices in human rights.
