Aborey-(LM) The Somali National Army, supported by Local Liberation Forces, has intensified military operations against Khawarij terrorists in the marooned village of Aboorey town, approximately 25 kilometers from Buloburte district of Hiran region. The latest developments include airstrikes that targeted terrorist hideouts on Monday night, with officials confirming significant damage to their positions.
To secure the area, all roads leading to Aboorey have been blocked, restricting the movement of remaining terrorists. Local sources report that the situation is critical, with the remaining militants in Aboorey expected to be eliminated soon.
“It’s the sixth day of the fight with Khawarij. Now they are burning, and they are in a marooned area, and they will be eliminated soon,” stated Mohamed Ahmed, a resident of Aboorey district. His comments reflect the determination of local forces and the community’s support for ongoing military efforts.
The intensified campaign against the Khawarij group aims to restore peace and security in the region, as the Somali government continues its fight against terrorism. As operations progress, officials remain optimistic about the elimination of terrorist threats in Aboorey and surrounding areas.
