IGAD Executive Secretary Calls for Enhanced Cooperation at Mashariki Cooperation Conference

Naivasha-(LM) The IGAD Executive Secretary, H.E. Dr. Workneh Gebeyehu, participated today in the 2nd Mashariki Cooperation Conference, which convened Chiefs of Intelligence and Security Agencies from across Africa and beyond.
In his keynote address, Dr. Workneh emphasized the urgent need for enhanced collective action, information sharing, and cross-border cooperation to effectively combat the increasing threats posed by terrorism and transnational organized crime on the continent. He highlighted that these challenges require a unified approach among African nations to ensure regional stability and security.
