MP Àbdirahman Abdishakur Urges Unity Amid Rising Terror Threats

Mogadishu (LM) In a press conference held today in Mogadishu, Member of Parliament Àbdirahman Abdishakur, The Leader of Wadajir Party, addressed the urgent issue of terrorism, emphasizing the critical need for unity among communities in the face of escalating threats. He warned that the current disunity has made local populations more vulnerable to exploitation by terrorist groups.
“Terrorists have taken advantage of the conflict, and if we are not united, we are more vulnerable,” Abdishakur stated. Abdishakur’s remarks come as the Middle Shabelle region faces increasing threats from militant groups, underscoring the urgent need for a coordinated response to restore stability and security.
The press conference concluded with a strong call to action for all citizens to engage in dialogue and foster a spirit of cooperation. “Only through solidarity can we hope to overcome these challenges and build a safer future for our nation,” he urged, appealing to the collective responsibility of all stakeholders in the fight against terrorism.
