Somali Cabinet Commends Armed Forces for Historic Victories Against Terrorists

Mogadishu (LM) The Cabinet of the Federal Republic of Somalia has expressed its strong support for the achievements of the armed forces and local security forces following significant victories against Khawarij groups this week. The Cabinet meeting, chaired by Prime Minister Mr. Hamsa Abdi Barre, focused on the current security landscape and the progress made in combating extremist threats.
During the meeting, reports were presented detailing the successes in the ongoing fight against the Khawarij, highlighting the dedication and efforts of both military and local forces. The Cabinet praised the coordinated efforts that have led to these historic victories, reinforcing the commitment to safeguarding national security.
In addition to security matters, the Cabinet approved a Bill to amend the Civil Servants Law, which aims to reform the work system and enhance the protection of civil servants’ rights. This legislative move aligns with the National Transformation Plan (NTP) for 2025-2029, which seeks to modernize government operations and improve public service delivery.
