Somali Foreign Minister Emphasizes National Interests in Political Landscape

Mogadishu (LM) Speaking to Government Media, the Somali Foreign Minister H.E. Ahmed Moalin Fiqi addressed the complexities of international relations, asserting that some governments have attempted to circumvent Somalia’s interests but ultimately found their way back to constructive engagement.
“National interests drive our politics,” the Minister stated. “Anyone who goes against the interests of our country is considered our enemy.” This declaration underscores the Somali government’s commitment to prioritizing its sovereignty and strategic goals in the face of external challenges.
