President Hassan Sheikh and President Erdoğan Discuss Security and International Cooperation

Antalya-(LM) During the Antalya Diplomacy Forum, the President of the Federal Republic of Somalia, His Excellency Hassan Sheikh Mohamud, held a productive meeting with the President of the Republic of Turkey, His Excellency Recep Tayyip Erdoğan.

The two leaders exchanged perspectives on the longstanding relations between Somalia and Turkey, exploring avenues to enhance cooperation in security, trade, and investment. President Mohamud emphasized the necessity of collaborative efforts to combat terrorism, commending the Turkish government’s active role in peacekeeping and development initiatives in Somalia.

In response, President Erdoğan reaffirmed Turkey’s commitment to the Somali people, highlighting ongoing support in military reconstruction, economic development, and the strengthening of government institutions. Both leaders expressed optimism about the future of bilateral relations and their shared goals for regional stability and prosperity.
