Mogadishu (LM) The Minister of Finance of the Federal Government of Somalia, Mr. Bihi Imaan Cige, held a productive meeting with his Kuwaiti counterpart, Ms. Eng. Nuura Sulaiman Al-Fassam, along with senior officials from Kuwait’s Ministry of Finance.
During the discussions, the two sides focused on key investment and trade issues, highlighting Somalia’s renewed efforts to harness its economic resources. Mr. Cige expressed gratitude to the Kuwaiti government for its long-standing support of Somalia’s debt relief process, emphasizing the importance of this assistance.
The Somali Finance Minister also committed to enhancing the cooperative relationship between Somalia and Kuwait, aiming to foster economic growth and advance investment initiatives within Somalia. The meeting underscores the ongoing partnership and shared interests between the two nations in promoting economic development.
